Farmacia San Rafael sponsoring a Community Health Clinic
Farmacia San Rafael will be sponsoring Health Clinics in the community in the month of December. The clinic is open to the community in and around the San Juan area.
There will be different tests and evaluations done for those attending the clinic including evaluations for Diabetic Retinopathy.
What is Diabetic Retinopathy?
According to the Mayo Clinic, Diabetic Retinopathy is:
“Diabetic retinopathy (die-uh-BET-ik ret-ih-NOP-uh-thee) is a diabetes complication that affects eyes. It's caused by damage to the blood vessels of the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye (retina).”
This can affect people who have Diabetes Type 1 and 2.
Some of the symptoms may include the following but are not limited too:
- Spots or dark strings floating in your vision (floaters)
- Blurred vision
- Fluctuating vision
When is the Health Clinic?
The health clinic will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.
You can start coming to the pharmacy located at 851 Lafayette Santurce, PR 00909 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
We welcome any community member with the following health insurance companies; Triple-S, MSC, Humana, and Constellation Health.
